World’s First M.2 NVMe Storage, USB-C Docking Hub Becomes 100% Funded On First Day In Indiegogo

Winner Of Red Dot Product Design Award 2020 By National University Of Singapore Undergraduates - Innovated World’s First 7-In-1 SSD Enclosure & USB Adapter

Singapore, Singapore - April 15, 2020 /MarketersMedia/ —

The world’s first 7-in-1 multi-functioning docking solid-state drive (SSD), Signature Pro is conceptualised by four undergraduates from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Released under Flujo Technology, the innovation won the globally-renowned and prestigious award, 2020 Red Dot Product Design Award for eliminating the need of using multiple adapters and other computer accessories. This innovative gadget was quickly noticed by tech-enthusiasts and received 100% funding on the first day of its campaign on Indiegogo.

During an internship, the four students, Helen Tan, Karyn Chen and Fatim Mohrini, aged 23; and Aaron Razeen aged 26, came into contact with Flujo Technology, a Singaporean-owned company based in Shenzhen. Realising that most SSD specialized casings do not have multi adapters, Flujo Technology and the team constructed the Signature Pro.

The team of young innovators have noticed that bringing along multiple dongles is a hassle for many working professionals and students alike. While on a work trip for instance, several USB devices and adapters are required for a smooth presentation, all on top of having a laptop inside their bag. Whether for corporate uses, YouTubers, entrepreneurs, photographers or students, this Signature Pro is a must-have for those with a USB-C laptop.

Its lightweight and slim design helps significantly to ease travelling. When outside and out of data storage in devices, the docking hub enables data to be transferred to the laptop efficiently and provide passthrough power to the laptop at the same time. When a device has no more data space, Signature Pro can double up as an external storage space for up to 2 terabyte (2TB). Being a one-stop device, it saves up resources that would otherwise be spent on other computer accessories for storage of data and transferring of data.

Beyond the Red Dot Award, Signature Pro is well-received by news sites like Geeky Gadgets, Geeky Flow and the Straits Times. Flujo and the young creatives developed the product over 6 months before listing their brainchild up for Kickstarter. The campaign wrapped in November 2019 with a total pledge of $58,722 and 249 backers, almost a triple of their pledge at $15,000.
Believing in diversifying their products in their rapid evolving industry, Flujo Technology opens up opportunities like these with the young innovators to stay relevant.

“Our mission has always been simple - to build high-quality electronic products that our customers would love.” said SM Koh, Founder of Flujo Technology

Flujo’s campaign with Indiegogo began on 8th April and will last till 8th May 2020. Indiegogo supports Flujo and the team’s entrepreneurial ideas come to life through crowdfunding. Supporting the Indiegogo campaign by Flujo Technology entitles the package of Signature Pro at early bird price can be as low as $158 per unit until the 8th May 2020. Prices will increase thereafter.

Draghi stepped in during euro's darkest hour

May 29, 2020

FRANKFURT, Germany — Mario Draghi leaves as head of the European Central Bank credited with having rescued the eurozone from disaster with a well-timed phrase and bold action to back up his words. He expanded the bank's arsenal of crisis-fighting tools with new and unconventional policies, measures that he and others say helped end a financial crisis in 2010-2012 and create millions of jobs in the 19-country monetary union. Yet the closing days of his term have hardly been a victory lap. His departure is accompanied by an unusually public dispute among ECB board members over stimulus policies he pushed...

FRANKFURT, Germany — The Latest on the European Central Bank and Mario Draghi's last new conference as its president (all times local): 2:55 p.m. As he winds up his eight-year term, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi says his legacy isn't dented by the unusual public criticism by some ECB officials of a key part the bank's last stimulus package. Draghi said Thursday that criticism of the decision to purchase bonds with newly printed money was "part and parcel of the ongoing debate." He said "we have discussions, everybody has discussions." Draghi spoke at his last news conference before former...

German industrial production drops again in June

May 29, 2020

BERLIN — German industrial production declined for a second consecutive month in July in the latest sign that Europe's biggest economy is headed for a recession in the current quarter. The Economy Ministry said Friday production was 0.6% lower than the previous month, following a 1.1% drop in June. That followed separate data showing factory orders fell 2.7% in July. Germany's economy contracted 0.1% in the April-June period. It is considered likely to shrink again in the third quarter, placing it in a technical recession, and business confidence recently hit a nearly seven-year low. UniCredit bank economist Andreas Rees argues...

South Korean leader says Japan dishonest over wartime past

May 29, 2020

SEOUL, South Korea — South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Thursday berated Japan for carrying out its plan to downgrade South Korea's trade status and reiterated Seoul's stance that Tokyo was weaponizing trade to retaliate over political rows stemming from the countries' wartime history. Moon said in a Cabinet meeting that Japan is being dishonest by insisting that its trade curbs weren't retaliation over historical issues, including South Korean court rulings that called for Japanese companies to offer reparations to aging South Korean plaintiffs for forced labor during World War II. He said Japan should look "squarely at the past"...

The Latest: Macron regrets Brazil rejection of Amazon aid

May 29, 2020

PARIS — The Latest on French President Emmanuel Macron's speech (all times local): 1:15 p.m. French President Emmanuel Macron is shrugging off Brazil's rejection of international aid to fight Amazon wildfires, saying the money is aimed at nine countries in the region and is a sign of friendship — not "aggressiveness." Macron put the Amazon fires high on the agenda of the Group of Seven summit in France, where world powers pledged this week some $40 million to fight the fires and plant new trees because of the Amazon's importance to the global environment. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro accused France...
